19 gold medalists awarded degrees along with seven PhDs
Navrachana University's 13th convocation ceremony held, 844 students awarded degrees

The 13th convocation ceremony of Navrachana University in Bhayli area of the city was held on Saturday, in which a total of 844 students were conferred degrees. Among these students, 7 PhD awardees and 19 gold medalists were conferred the convocation ceremony in the presence of HAG Professor and HAL Chair Professor Dr. Radhakant Padhi, Department of Aerospace Engineering.
A total of 844 students from the Schools of Business and Law, Engineering and Technology (SET), Science (SOS), Environmental Design and Architecture (SEDA) and Liberal Studies and Education (SLSE) of Navrachana University, Vadodara, were conferred degrees under 25 programs.
The graduation success rate is 96%. The students who graduated included 451 girls and 393 boys, including 7 PhD awardees and 19 gold medalists. The PhDs ranged from advanced and cutting-edge technology to important issues in healthcare. The degrees were conferred by the University President Rahul Amin and Chairperson Tejal Amin in the presence of the Board of Governance, Board of Management and the University leadership. Chairperson Tejal Amin said, “I am very happy to inform you that out of 844 students, 53% are girls. Out of these, 19 gold medals including 11 girls and 8 boys, 7 Ph.D. including 4 girls and 3 boys, Ph.D. degree was awarded.

The Chief Guest asked the students to move beyond the "what" and "how" and focus on the deeper "y" of learning. A university degree is just the first step in the ocean of knowledge. Drawing inspiration from the ideas explored in his educational and motivational articles, he spoke about the importance of integrated purpose, like the precision and coherence required when many things move in the same direction at once. He encouraged them to bring interdisciplinary learning, humility and momentum to life, saying that "AI minus I A is just A" and asked the graduates to give something back to the society and work every day towards building a developed India with honesty and commitment. - Dr. Radhakant Padhi, Chief Guest |
