dc.description	A four-day international conference on metabolism, toxicology, diagnostics and therapeutics, ICMTDT-2026, began on Tuesday at Navrachana University's school of science. The conference will see leading global and Indian experts deliberate on emerging challenges in biomedical and precision healthcare. The conference, which runs until Jan 30, will have 50 speakers, including seven international experts and 43 eminent researchers from premier institutions in the country. The inaugural session was addressed by Prof Chin-Kun Wang of Chung Shan Medical University, Taiwan, president of the International Society for Precision Health (ISPH). Prof Wang formally announced the launch of the India chapter of ISPH, aimed at strengthening global collaboration in precision and preventive healthcare. The India chapter of ISPH will be headquartered at NU. Prof LS Shashidhara, director of the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bengaluru, attended the inaugural session as the guest of honour.	en_US
