The School of Environmental Design & Architecture Spring Semester: Exhibition has been organized for two days from today at Navrachana Univ. In which 500 1 students of Architecture, Interior and 5 Product Design and Graphics have put up two thousand models-drawings. The annual exhibition of models and drawings prepared by 500 students of all four years of Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design and Visual Design at Navrachana Univ. has started. Two thousand wonderful 55 drawings and models have been displayed by the students. Under which each student has also included 40 to 50 handmade models and drawings. More details about this Giving the speech, Tejal Amin, Chairperson of Navrachana Education Society, said that the four main themes of the exhibition are Upcycling-Recycle, Environment-Sustainability, Public Places Planning-Adaptive Reuse and Heritage. This is not just a display of students' art but a reflection of what today's youth is thinking about the environmental and social problems of the future. On the other hand, this year the university has started a new program of Product Design and Visual Communication. The head of that program, Prof. Amita Heer, had earlier also played an important role in the wedding design of the son of the family of the world's top industrialist Mukesh Ambani. A wonderful blend of mechanics, engineering, art and architecture Is it necessary to demolish all the old buildings and build new ones? With this idea, the students have also presented innovative models on how to start a new positive use within the old historical buildings while preserving their magnificent heritage. Stating that there is a confluence of art, architecture and engineering, the university professor said that disciplinary boundaries are now breaking down in education. This exhibition shows a wonderful blend of mechanical, engineering, art and architecture. In the workshop, the students have created such parametric models. An architecture student can study elective courses in engineering and an engineering student can study elective courses in design or management. Elements made from waste materials Students have created interior elements using waste materials. Students have experimented with newspaper, clay, cloth and plastic waste. One student has created a seat using newspaper, which has also been tested by soaking it in water. Students have created a unique screen by wrapping cloth around a plastic bottle and bonding it with resin. While some have created amazing products using a combination of weaving techniques and newspaper. en_US
dc.description.abstract The School of Environmental Design and Architecture at Navrachana University organized a semester-end exhibition displaying the creative work of around 500 students. Nearly 1,500 models and 2,000 drawings were showcased from architecture and design programmes. The projects included studio design, construction, research, visualization, and workshops. Many students focused on sustainable architecture and eco-friendly concepts. Several projects promoted recycling and upcycling of everyday materials. The exhibition also highlighted solutions for urban issues such as lack of public spaces and poor pedestrian infrastructure. Students emphasized community interaction and people-centric design.
