dc.description.abstract The continuing professional development (CPD) is very vital aspect of adult learning, especially for the professionals to keep abreast with the changing trends in their respective profession. To design the CPD program it is necessary to assess the need of the target population. Dentistry is one of the most evolving professions in today's world and Continuing Dental Education forms an important avenue for these professionals to upgrade their skill and knowledge. In this study we have designed a questionnaire to assess the need for the Continuing professional development amongst the dentists practicing in Gujarat. The rst the content validation was done with the help of subject experts. Then the questionnaire was administered to 32 participants with a mixed population of General Practitioners and experts in the eld of the dentistry. The questionnaire was assessed for the Validity and Reliability by using Student-t test and Cronbach's alpha test. It was concluded that the said tool was found to be Valid and Reliable. en_US
